Boz Scaggs – Silk Degrees

Silk Degrees, released in February 1976, is the seventh studio album by Boz Scaggs and remains his most commercially successful effort. Crafted with expert Mid-70s production by Joe Wissert, it blends blue-eyed soul, R&B, disco, and sophisticated soft rock. Featuring session titans who later founded Toto—David Paich, Jeff Porcaro, and David Hungate—the album yielded four hit singles: “Lowdown,” “Lido Shuffle,” “What Can I Say,” and “It’s Over.” It reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the charts for 115 weeks, eventually earning 5× Platinum status.
