This is an original 1967 US pressing of The First Songs by Laura Nyro, released on Verve Forecast Records (catalog FTS-3020). This landmark debut introduced Nyro’s brilliant songwriting, including tracks that later became major hits for other artists: “Wedding Bell Blues” (The 5th Dimension) and “And When I Die” (Blood, Sweat & Tears).
