A heartfelt jazz tribute to the great Mildred Bailey, featuring vocalist Mavis Rivers with vibraphonist Red Norvo, Bailey's former husband and one of the defining musicians of the Swing Era. We Remember Mildred Bailey revisits songs closely associated with Bailey while giving them a fresh early-1960s jazz treatment.

Rivers brings an elegant, swinging vocal approach to a program of standards including “Easy to Love,” “Georgia on My Mind,” “Let a Song Go Out of My Heart,” “Confessin',” “Please Be Kind,” “Lover Come Back to Me,” “Rockin' Chair,” “It Seems Like Old Times,” “My Last Affair,” “Someday Sweetheart,” “Ghost of a Chance with You” and “There'll Be Some Changes Made.”

The presence of Red Norvo gives the project a particularly meaningful connection to Bailey and the classic jazz era they helped define. Recorded at United Recording Studios in Las Vegas, the album was produced by Lee Young, with arrangements credited to Jack Eglash, Don Abney and Red Norvo.
